The South side of Rick Klein provided shade on a hot sunny day in May. I gave Rick a haircut...
I did it the old fashioned way today, with a bike I dug out of the Salt Fork of the Red River, a chainsaw treated like a shovel by @joepraeger, and some beautiful Panhandle weather at the new Rick Klein Trails.
We have been scouting the trails in preparation for next weekend’s race #3 of the Six Pack Outdoors Mountain Bike Series at the BLM Cross Bar Ranch and they are looking fantastic! Saturday May 15th we will have a volunteer day to do some trail house keeping and pre-ride, follows by the race on Sunday the 16th. We hope to see you there to enjoy this great trail system!
Cleaning up the descent from Bradley’s Pass
We had a fine day in Borger working on the “Detroit Draw” trail. This 1937 Chevy with suicide doors is just one of the many classic erosion control structures you will see along the route.
You better believe that the trails will make you smile in Borger!
